At Freshservice, we believe in equipping IT organizations with with the right tool to make their job seamless. We thought we’d go a step further and provide an ITSM course that IT managers can share with new joinees who ask, “So.. what exactly is ITSM?”
In this course, Stephen will discuss the basics of ITSM (IT Service Management) and related topics. He'll touch upon ITSM benefits, quick wins, ITIL and its processes, and also tell you about some common ITIL adoption mistakes that you should avoid.
Each lesson contains a video overview of the topic followed by a quiz to test what you've learned. This will help you assess your understanding and also tell you which topics you might want to revisit. Once you clear the quizzes, you’ll retain a lot more than just passively consuming the video content. But if you already have decent ITSM knowledge, and know a particular topic well, feel free to skip straight to the quiz.
The entire course takes about an hour but once you enrol, you can finish it on your own time and revisit whenever you need to brush up on the basics.
If you’re starting your career in IT, or contemplating doing so, this course will provide a primer for ITSM and related topics. Once you finish it, you’ll be able to make more sense of everything else you’ll learn about ITSM later.
Even if you’ve been in the industry for a while and would like to brush up on your basics (or just test your ITSM expertise), the course along with the quizzes will help you do so.
Nothing! The course is absolutely free.
That said, it’s not meant to replace ITIL or other paid ITSM certifications. It’s meant as a primer to ITSM. Once you finish the course, you’ll find it easier to understand everything you learn later.
